Hüseyin ÖZBEY, MD Professor
Dr Hüseyin ÖZBEY completed his medical education at Istanbul Medical Faculty and continued his academic career at the same faculty. Between 1997- 1998 and 2001-2002 he worked with Prof. Michael Höllwarth at the Medical Faculty in Graz, Austria. He is currently chairman of the Pediatric Urology Division at Istanbul Medical Faculty, Department of Pediatric Surgery. He is specialized in pediatric surgery, pediatric urology and has particular interest in treatment of children with hypospadias and "Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD)". He is founder and president of Society for Sexual Development and Hypospadias (www.dsdturk.org) in Turkey. In 2019, the society organized the 23rd Hypospadias Study-Day, which is a highly standardized international meeting on hypospadias. He recently described the GFC (Glanular-Frenular Collar) technique in hypospadias repair, published in Journal of Pediatric Urology.
